Terms of Use

1. Agreement

By using Spoti you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, don't use Spoti. You must be at least 13 years old, and old enough to agree to these Terms where you live (or have a parent or guardian's permission).

2. What you may search for

You may only use Spoti to find photos of:

• yourself;
• a person who has given you permission to search for them; or
• a child for whom you are the parent or legal guardian.

You may only scan Google Drive folders that you are allowed to access, such as folders shared with you or shared publicly by their owner.

3. What you must not do

• Identify, locate, track, monitor, stalk, harass, threaten or dox anyone.
• Search for strangers, or for anyone who hasn't agreed to be searched for.
• Build or add to a collection or database of faces or face data.
• Use Spoti for surveillance, law-enforcement, employment, insurance, credit or housing decisions, or any decision with legal or similarly significant effects on a person.
• Break any law, including biometric and data-protection laws that apply to you, or anyone's privacy or other rights.
• Overload, attack, reverse-engineer for abuse, or automate Spoti in ways that harm the service or others.

You are responsible for how you use Spoti and for making sure your use is lawful where you live.

4. Results can be wrong

Face recognition is not perfect. Spoti can miss photos of a person and can show photos of someone else. Match percentages are estimates. Don't rely on Spoti to identify anyone or for any important decision, and always check results yourself.

5. Google Drive and other services

Spoti is an independent tool, not affiliated with or endorsed by Google. Google Drive is a trademark of Google LLC. Your use of Google Drive is governed by Google's own terms. Spoti may stop working with Google Drive at any time if Google changes its services.

6. Open-source components

Spoti is built on open-source software and models, used under their licenses:

• AuraFace face-recognition model by fal: Apache License 2.0
• YuNet face detector by Shiqi Yu and OpenCV: MIT License
• ONNX Runtime Web by Microsoft: MIT License
• React: MIT License

7. No warranty

Spoti is provided free, "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, availability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, the operators of Spoti are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for any loss arising from your use of, or inability to use, Spoti or its results.

9. Your responsibility

You agree to indemnify the operators of Spoti against claims arising from your misuse of Spoti or your breach of these Terms.

10. Changes and termination

We may change these Terms, or change or stop Spoti, at any time. If we change the Terms, we'll update this page and its effective date. Continuing to use Spoti means you accept the updated Terms.
